Tickets on sale for Whatcom Harvest Dinner

Tickets are on sale for the 11th Whatcom Harvest Dinner in September that will feature a family-style meal prepared by more than a dozen local chefs to showcase food grown and raised here.

The family-friendly event will run 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at Bellewood Acres, 6140 Guide Meridian near Laurel.

The goal is celebrate local farmers, educate families about healthy locally produced foods, and provide support to food and farming programs, organizers said.

Buy tickets online at brownpapertickets.com. Prices are on a sliding scale - ranging from $7 per child up to $75 per adult. Scholarship tickets are available so anyone can afford to attend.
