Traffic delays expected during road work north of Bellingham

BELLINGHAM - Long traffic delays are expected as roads north of the city will be chip-sealed from Monday, July 22, to Friday, July 26.

Drivers are asked to use alternate routes to avoid Smith Road, from Hannegan Road to Everson Goshen Road; Everson Goshen, from Mount Baker Highway to Pole Road; Noon Road, from Pole to Smith; and Axton, Laurel and Ten Mile roads, all from Guide Meridian Road to Hannegan.

The work schedule could change, depending on the weather. More information is online at this Whatcom County webpage for road closures.
