Errors swing around to bite Bells


BELLINGHAM - After nabbing a 4-3 win with no earned runs due to six errors by Corvallis on Monday, July 15, the Bellingham Bells committed five errors that led to nine unearned runs in a 14-3 loss to the Knights on Tuesday, July 16, at Joe Martin Field.

Bells starting pitcher Jake Paulson was tagged for 11 runs - six unearned - and six hits in 3 1/3 innings of work to take the loss.

Johnny Farrington singled in a run in the second inning for Bellingham, and Ryan Kirby had an RBI single in the third.

Jake Bailey added a run with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.

The Bells host Corvallis in the final game of the three-game series at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Joe Martin Field.
