Vancouver, B.C., hosts Folk Music Festival

Musicians, singers and songwriters from around the world gather at Jericho Beach Park on Point Grey Road for the 36th annual Vancouver (B.C.) Folk Music Festival, a celebration of traditional and contemporary folk and roots music, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21.

Performers include Kathleen Edwards, Steve Earle & the Dukes, DeVotchKa, Natalie Maines, Kobo Town and Loudon Wainwright III.

The festival kicks off with an evening concert at 5 p.m. Friday, July 19. Admission varies. Details:
