Allen, Hendrickson claim big wins at Deming

Spud Allen, Steven Hendrickson and Tristin Thomas picked up some big wins Friday, July 12, at Deming Speeway, tuning up for next week's Clay Cup Nationals. Lynden Lebedinski also picked up a win in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints.

Allen cruised to a largely uncontested win in the 600 Open division following five separate restarts. Chase Schmidt came in second, and Liam Ryan followed in third.

Unlike Allen, Hendrickson had to come from behind to catch Brock Lemley in the Shots Go 2 Espresso 1200 Main. It was Hendrickson's second win of the season.

Thomas led all 25 laps in his wire-to-wire win in the 600 Restricted division, with Jake Helsel coming in second.
