Ellis Massey

ELLIS MASSEY - 100 YEARS OLD! Ellis Massey, a lifelong resident of Whatcom Co. was born July 16th, 1913 near Everson to Lloyd and Laura Massey and was a 1932 graduate of Nooksack H.S. He married Gertrude Munsen in 1936 and raised 3 children who still reside in Bellingham; Lana Brookings, David (Susan) Massey, and Randy (Sandy) Massey. His younger brother Roy still lives in Bellingham as well. Ellis has 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Gertrude Massey passed away in 1990, and Ellis's 2nd wife Leah Davies passed away in 2007. Early in his career Ellis was co-owner of Donovan Furniture on State St., but he mostly distinguished himself as a local Realtor for many years in Bellingham by serving many key roles in the sale and development of several well known businesses and industrial properties still active today. Arco and Intalco refineries, Fred Meyer and St. Joseph Hosp. to name just a few. He was active on the Bellingham Planning Commission, Board of Realtors President, and a long time member of the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. He now resides at the Parkway Chateau and is very involved in all their activities. He has even sky-dived twice in the past 3 years. You are invited to stop by and pass on your birthday wishes for this tremendous milestone, at an Open House gathering on Saturday, July 20th anytime from 2 to 4:30 PM at Immanuel Bible Church, where he is a member, located at North and Lynn St's. Light refreshments will be available, and please - no gifts.
