The Bellingham Slam recently won back-to-back International Basketball League titles, and both Jacob Stevenson and Rico Wilkins have been rewarded for their efforts with postseason awards.
Stevenson was selected IBL Guard and Player of the Year, while Wilkins earned Sixth Man of the Year honors.
Stevenson, in his eighth season with the Slam, recorded 22.6 points per game and led the club with a 61 percent field-goal percentage. Stevenson also ranked second on the Slam in steals and blocked shots and scored 30-plus points three times.
Wilkins, a rookie, averaged 16.9 points per contest and shot 39 percent from the 3-point line. He reached double figures during his last eight games and scored a season-high 34 points.
Stevenson was also an IBL first-team selection, and guard Morris Anderson earned an honorable mention.
