Bells lose to Kitsap at home

The Bellingham Bells only managed six hits in a 6-0 loss Monday, July 8, against Kitsap at Joe Martin Field.

Alex Calbick (2 for 4) was the only Bellingham player with more than one hit.

Bells starting pitcher Jake Ehret gave up five hits and five runs in 2 2/3 innings to take the loss.

On Sunday, the Bells pounded out 14 hits to earn a 10-3 win at home over Cowlitz.

Bellingham's Trent Chatterton went 2 for 4 with four RBI and Derek Atkinson was 3 for 4 with two runs and a walk.

Bells starter Chris Van Dyke gave up two runs on three hits in three innings of work. John Albert pitched two innings, giving up three hits and a run to get the win.
