Registration open for financial literacy class in Ferndale

FERNDALE - A 12-week course on how to become financially stable starts Thursday, July 11.

The financial literacy classes, offered by the nonprofit The Whatcom Dream, cost $65 per person. Scholarships are available.

Topics include budgeting, goal-setting, banking, repaying and eliminating debt, and investing. The weekly class meets 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at Ferndale Public Library, Cherry and 1st streets near Pioneer Park.

Free child care is provided onsite.
