Bridge work will close part of Main Street in Lynden for six months

LYNDEN - A section of Main Street will be closed beginning Wednesday, July 10, because Interwest Construction Inc. is replacing a culvert with a bridge over Fishtrap Creek.

Main Street will be closed between North Eighth Street and Sixth Street, near Lynden Middle School, until January.

The work also will include road, sidewalk and lighting improvements. The construction bid was $2.2 million.

There will be no local access or access for emergency vehicles during the project.
