Bells lose to Corvallis 4-1


The Bellingham Bells scattered nine hits over nine innings but only scored one run during a 4-1 West Coast League loss to Corvallis Wednesday, July 3, in Corvallis.

Bellingham has now dropped five of its last six games.

Bells pitchers Nick Baker, Jake Ehret and Will Dennis combined for a four-hitter, but Corvallis scored runs in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth.

Bellingham's Michael Annunziata went 3 for 3, and RJ Ybarra went 2 for 4 with an RBI double. Alex Calbick was 2 for 4.

The Bells end their road trip with the final game of a three-game swing against Corvallis at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, July 4.
