West Lake Samish Drive to close for construction

LAKE SAMISH - West Lake Samish Drive will be closed to all traffic Monday, July 1, through Tuesday, July 2, while crews install a culvert.

Work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Monday, and the road will remain closed overnight and reopen by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Drivers will be able to take a detour around the work site, which is in the 400 block of West Lake Samish.

"Because of the location of actual work, there will be very little impact to local residents," said Christy Sands of Whatcom County Public Works.
