SBA loans available for businesses impacted by Skagit River bridge collapse

The U.S. Small Business Administration is making low-interest economic-injury disaster loans available to small businesses economically impacted by the collapse of the Interstate 5 bridge in Skagit County.

The collapse occurred over the Skagit River on May 23.

The SBA opened a Disaster Loan Outreach Center on Friday, June 28, at 204 W. Montgomery St. in Mount Vernon. It will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays; no appointment is necessary.

The declaration covers Skagit, Whatcom, Chelan, Island, Okanogan and Snohomish counties.
