THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJune 25, 2013

FERNDALE - The express bus between Bellingham and Blaine will not stop at Grandview Industrial Park on the afternoon of Thursday, June 27, and the morning of Friday, June 28, the Whatcom Transportation Authority announced.

Route 70X will not be able to reach the industrial park due to road construction.

Route 27 continues to be limited in Ferndale during construction on Vista Drive and Thornton Street. Buses on that route will not serve Vista or Thornton near Vista.

The detour leaves eastbound Thornton, heading south on Shannon Avenue to Ferndale Terrace and Hendrickson Avenue. The change to Route 27 will remain in effect until construction is complete in September.
