Rain postpones first night of Dirt Cup

The first night of the 42nd Annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup was postponed due to rain throughout the day. Skagit Speedway personnel announced the postponement on their website around 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20.

Thursday's racing slate is being rescheduled for early Saturday afternoon, June 22, before Saturday night's racing gets underway.

The Pits will open at 9 a.m., pit passes will go on sale at 10:30 a.m., and front gates are scheduled to open at 11:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies start at 1 p.m. A Hall of Fame auction is slated for 4 p.m. after the conclusion of the early afternoon race. Opening ceremonies for Saturday's championship night of racing are at 7:30 p.m.

The race Friday, June 21, is expected to run as scheduled.
