United edges Victoria 2-1


The Bellingham United soccer team defeated the Victoria United Blues 2-1 on Sunday, June 17, in Victoria B.C.

Oscar Jimenez scored the first goal of the game 25 yards out after a perfect pass from Chris Jepson.

Kellan Brown added another goal 12 minutes out of halftime, which proved to be the game-winner after Victoria scored a goal in the 84th miunte.

The Hammers (8-2-1) next play the Khalsa Sporting Club on Sunday, June 23, at Civic Stadium.
