Peterson picks up first win of the season


Jared Peterson won the 600 Open class, picking his first win of the year after taking the lead in the fourth lap on Friday, June 14, at Deming Speedway. Peterson staved off charges from Chase Schmidt and Kyle Mitchell to secure the win.

In other events, Brock Lemley led all 25 laps of the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 to pick up his first win at Deming since 2011. Galen Turner also led all 25 laps of his race, besting second-place finisher Tanner Holm in the 600 Restricted class.

Haley Constance bested the boys to pick up her first career win at the ripe age of 8 in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints.
