Taylor Peacocke, who competed last season at Division I Sacramento State, has accepted a scholarship offer to play women's basketball at Western Washington University beginning this fall.
"We are excited to have Taylor as part of our program," said WWU head coach Carmen Dolfo in making the announcement. "She has great versatility and could help us at either off-guard or point guard."
Peacocke, a 5-foot-9 guard, saw action in seven games for the Hornets in 2012-13 before suffering a season-ending injury. She received a medical hardship and will have freshman eligibility at WWU.
A graduate of Inglemoor High School, Peacocke was a second-team Class 4A all-State selection and a Seattle Times Star Times all-Area pick as a senior.
An all-KingCo League selection for the third straight year, Peacocke averaged a league-leading 19.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 3.2 assists for the Vikings, setting a school career record for points with 1,152.
