THE BELLINGHAM HERALDJune 14, 2013

Bellingham United forward Kellan Brown netted his league leading 11th goal of the season to help BUFC earn a 2-1 Pacific Coast Soccer League win against Coquitlam Metro-Ford Wednesday, June 12, in Coquitlam.

United beat the same club by the same score four days prior at Civic Stadium.

Coquitlam took an early lead with a goal before halftime, but Bellingham's Caden Sowers equalized in the 50th minute off an assist from Oscar Jimenez. Brown's game-winner came in the 62nd minute.

The win kept United (7-2-1) first atop the PCSL table.

"Tonight's win was huge as it is a tough situation when you face a team back to back and even more so when the second match is on their home field," BUFC coach Lance Calloway said in a press release.

Bellingham returns home to play Victoria United at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Civic Stadium.
