Matteson, Wilkins lead slam to 10th consecutive win


Four players scored more than 20 points as the Bellingham Slam cruised to their 10th consecutive victory with a 153-100 win over the East Bay Pit Bulls in International Basketball League play Sunday, June 9, at Whatcom Community College.

Evan Matteson led Bellingham's team-oriented offense with 25 points and Rico Wilkins finished with 23 on 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range. Forward Nick Moore posted a season-high 17 rebounds.

Forward Mike Scott led seven East Bay players in double figures with 23 points.
