Longanecker settles down to earn win for Post 7

Brice Longanecker had a rough first inning and then cruised after that in Bellingham Post 7 Senior Legions' 10-3 win Monday, June 10, at Issaquah.

Longanecker gave up three runs on five hits and walked one - all in the first inning. In the next six innings Longanecker struck out 12, walked none and gave up two hits to earn his first win of the season.

"He got roughed up, made some adjustments after that inning and cruised after that," Post 7 assistant coach Jeff Beardon said in a phone interview.

Luke Christianson was 2 of 3 with a double, a three-run home run and five RBI.

Post 7 (7-2) also picked up a pair of wins Sunday, June 9, over Coquitlam at Joe Martin Field.
