Bard on the Beach's 2013 season runs through Sept. 14 at Vanier Park in Vancouver, B.C. The plays are staged in opened-ended tents on the waterfront, with a view of mountains, sea and sky. This year's lineup:

The romantic comedy "Twelfth Night," plays in repertory with the tragedy "Hamlet," in the 742-seat Mainstage Tent; and "Measure for Measure," the dark comedy about the abuse of power plays in repertory with a contemporary Canadian play, Timothy Findley's "Elizabeth Rex," on the 240-seat Douglas Campbell Studio Stage.
