Visitors in the Port Angeles area can learn more about the Olympic Peninsula during a series of free talks this summer

The Basecamp Adventure Talk series will showcase outdoor activities and locations that can be explored on the Olympic Peninsula. The talks will take place each Friday from 6-7 p.m. at Red Lion Hotel Port Angeles, 221 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.

The talks will touch on many of the various adventure options available to travelers visiting the peninsula. Speakers will include ecologists, tour guides, storytellers, filmmakers, historians, fishermen and mountaineers.

The series debuts Friday with a program titled “Olympic Changes Over Space and Time,” presented by Carolyn Wilcox, owner of Experience Olympic Tours
