Drivers are advised to take alternate routes Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, when crews lay asphalt on some Whatcom County roads in preparation for chip sealing.

Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. those days on Ten Mile Road, Noon Road, East Axton Road from Guide Meridian Road to Hannegan Road, and Everson Goshen Road south of East Hemmi Road.

Long delays are expected around the work areas. The schedule might change due to the weather.

The 974 miles of county roads are chip sealed on a seven-year cycle as part of regular maintenance.
