Frank (or Tom) & Madelyn Thomas On June 10th, Tom & Madelyn Thomas will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. It all began in the Theta house at Oregon State (Go Beavers!) where Tom worked as a houseboy in Madelyn's sorority. They were married a week after Madelyn graduated and their honeymoon was a cross country camping trip out of their VW Bug. Tom completed medical school in Portland and they moved to Texas, then on to Japan. By the time they moved back to Portland, they had a couple of kids and a dog that only spoke Japanese. Life continued, kids grew, cars got wrecked, English speaking dogs joined the family, along with some pigs, chickens and even some mean geese, which they ate. They built a home in La Conner, then moved to England, from England to Bellingham, Bellingham to Wenatchee and are currently happily settled back in Bellingham. They now have two grandkids that are exceptional and a very intelligent and talented Shitzu named Lulu, who is not at all spoiled. In the past fifty years they've learned to pack, they've formed deep friendships, and they've demonstrated the meaning of commitment, love and the importance of family.
