Post 7 breaks out bats in win over Langley

The Bellingham Post 7 Senior Legion baseball team had 11 hits in a 9-3 win Wednesday, June 5, at Langley to improve to 3-2 on the young season.

Cooper Jansen was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI, Tyler Knutsen had two RBI and Marshall Weston was 2 for 3 in the win.

Post 7 assistant coach Jeff Bearden said it was good to see the hits after some lulls early in the season.

"We swung the bats pretty well today," Bearden said. "It was good to see."

Matt Richard (1-0) struck out six and walked one while giving up six hits in the win.

Post 7 hosts the Skagit Baseball Club at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at Joe Martin Stadium.
