What's she done: A graduate of Bellingham High School, Bloom has studied dance at Western Washington University. She enjoys ballet and modern dance, and has participated in ballroom dance competitions in and out of state.

Bloom says she "takes great pleasure sharing the joy of dance with others" by teaching youth and adult ballroom dance classes in Bellingham, Blaine and Birch Bay.

She also has volunteered hundreds of hours as an usher at Mount Baker Theatre. "Watching the best of the best come to Bellingham and perform on Mount Baker Theatre's stage has changed my life forever," she says, "giving me inspiration, appreciation, education and great joy."

What's next: Bloom recently partnered with another Northwest artist — her mother, Wendy Bloom — to start Rainbow Orca Designs, creating art ornaments and paper sculptures.

"Life is an art," she says, "and there is so much beauty that can be shared through movement, music, words, sounds, sculptures, paintings and all forms of artistic expression. I am so excited to be alive during these thrilling and creative times!"
