A variety of youth sports camps will be held in Whatcom County throughout the summer. To add your camp to this list, please email a camp flier to sports@bellinghamherald.com.

Mount Baker soccer camp: The Mount Baker boys' and girls' soccer teams will host a camp Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7 at Mitchell Field near Mount Baker High School. The camp is for boys and girls ages 3-15 and will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m. daily. Mountaineers boys' coach Jason Jorgensen will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. Blaine Youth Football Camp: The Blaine football team will host a camp Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to noon at Blaine High School. All county players entering first through eighth grade are welcome to attend. Blaine coach Jay Dodd will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. Storm Youth Football Camp: The Squalicum football team will host a non-contact camp June 9-12 at Squalicum High School. The camp is intended for students entering first through eighth grade and will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. daily. Storm coach Reed Richardson will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. Registration is $70 and includes a T-shirt and football. Mariner Volleyball Camp: The Sehome volleyball team will host a camp June 10-13 at Sehome High School. The camp is for incoming fourth through eighth graders and will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. daily. Coach Kristy White Roper will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. Registration is $65 and includes a T-shirt. Lynden Christian Basketball Camp: The Lynden Christian boys' and girls' basketball teams will host camps June 10-13. The boys' camp for grades three through five will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the high school, while the boys' camp for sixth and seventh graders will go from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the high school. The girls' camp for third and fourth graders will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the middle school, and the girls' camp for fifth through seventh graders will run from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the middle school. Lynden Youth Volleyball Camp: The Lynden volleyball team will host a camp for students entering the fourth through ninth grades on June 17-20 at Lynden High School. The camp for fourth through sixth graders will run from 10 a.m. to noon each day, while seventh through nine graders will go from 1-3 p.m. Lions coach Julie Clift will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. Lynden Boys' Basketball Camp: The Lynden boys' basketball team will host a three-day camp for students entering the fourth through ninth grades on June 24-26. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Lynden High School. Lions coach Brian Roper will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. The camp costs $50 per athlete, $75 for a pair of brothers and $39 for ninth graders and includes a T-shirt and basketball. Pre-register by June 12 to insure the correct T-shirt size. Middle School Tennis Camp: The Squalicum tennis teams will host a series of camps for students entering sixth through ninth grades at Squalicum High School. A co-ed camp will run from 1-3:30 p.m. June 24-27. A boys' camp will run from 9-11:30 a.m. July 8-11, and a girls' camp will run from 1-3:30 p.m. the same dates. The camp is for boys and girls entering kindergarten through 12th grade and will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Sehome co-coach Kevin Ryan and Tim Carlson will be joined by athletes and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of different events. Registration is $89 and includes a T-shirt. Storm Weightlifting, Speed & Conditioning: The Squalicum strength and conditioning staff will host summer weightlifting, speed and conditioning on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting June 24 and running through Aug. 16 at Squalicum High School. The program will be dark July 15-26. Students entering 10th through 12th grades will work out from 9-10:30 a.m., while students entering sixth through ninth grades will go from 10-11:30 a.m. Registration is $40 per participant. The Way to Win Girls' Basketball Camp: The Lynden girls' basketball team will host a three-day camp along with legendary coach Barbara Berry June 25-26 at Lynden High School. The camp, which is open for girls entering fourth through eighth grade, will run from 1-4 p.m. each day. Berry will work with the Lions players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. The cost is $65 per player and includes a T-shirt, and registration should be received by June 19. Registration at the door costs $75. Grand Slam Baseball Camp: The Sehome baseball team will host three camps this summer at Sehome High School. The first will run from June 27-29 and is for students ages 7-10. The second will run from July 8-10 and is for students ages 11-12. The final will run from July 15-17 and is for ages 13-16. Camps will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Mariners coach Gary Hatch will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principles of the sport. Michael Koenen/Jake Locker Charity NFL Kids Football Camp: Former Whatcom County and current NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers punter Michael Koenen and Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker will be hosting a Friday Night Lights Flag Football Game event at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Ferndale High School. A $3 donation or two cans of food is being requested for admission to the game. All proceeds will benefit local food banks. The Michael Koenen/Jake Locker Charity NFL Kids Football Camp will be the following day on Saturday, June 29. The camp is free for kids ages 8-14. Raider Soccer Camp: The Bellingham boys' and girls' soccer teams will host a camp July 1-3 at Bellingham High School. The camp is intended for boys and girls entering third through ninth grade and will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Red Raiders coaches and players will teach fundamental skills and principles of the game. Registration is $55 and includes a T-shirt. Blaine Borderites Volleyball Camp: The Blaine volleyball team will host a camp July 8-10 for players ages 8-12. The camp will run 9 a.m. to noon daily. Lynden Christian Little Dribblers Camp: The Lynden Christian boys' and girls' basketball teams will host a camp for players P4 through second grade from 9-11 a.m. July 8-10 at the high school. Mr. Ballard and Jill's Happy Campers Tennis Camp: The Lynden tennis team will host a camp for students entering sixth through eighth grade July 8-11 at the Lynden YMCA. July 12-13 will be rainout dates. The camp will run from 9-10:30 a.m., with a possible second session from 10:30 a.m. to noon if enough students register. Trey Ballard and former player Jill (Toronchuk) Dickson will instruct the course along with current Lions players and teach fundamental skills and principals of the game. Red Raider Volleyball Camp: The Bellingham volleyball team will host a camp July 8-11 at Bellingham High School. The camp for students entering fifth through seventh grade will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily, with the camp for students entering eighth and ninth grade going 1-4 p.m. Coach Kim Bjorklund will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principals of the sport. Legends in the Making: A football camp for boys and girls ages 5 to 17, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 12-14 at the Bellingham Sportsplex and other locations. Anthony McClanahan, a former Washington State University football player, is presenting Legends in the Making. McClanahan, who owns 41 Sports Fitness Boot Camps in Bellingham, said camp sessions will improve speed, strength and agility for participants. The camp's staff will include former pro players Hilary Butler, Matt Jones, Larry Parker Jr., Larry Thompson and Jermaine Younger. Both Butler, a University of Washington star, and Thompson played for the Seattle Seahawks. Other guest coaches include John Husby, Matt Jones, Nick Martinez, Bliss Morris, Derek Sparks, George Thompson and Josh Whitman. Registration is $150 for participants registering by June 15. Lions coach Randy Anderson will be joined by players and coaches to teach fundamental skills and principals of the sport. The cost is $50 per athlete, $25 for each additional family member, and Lynden Wrestling Club members receive a $10 discount.
