Drivers are advised to take alternate routes Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, when crews will lay asphalt on some Whatcom County roads in preparation for chip sealing.
Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. those days on West Laurel Road, Old Guide Road, Aldrich Road, Clarkson Lane, and East Axton Road from Guide Meridian to Hannegan. Long delays are expected around work areas.

The 974 miles of county roads are chip sealed on a seven-year cycle as part of regular maintenance.
