THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 28, 2013

Bellingham United was unable to score a goal and ended up losing to Vancouver 1-0 during a Pacific Coast Soccer League game Sunday, May 26, at Civic Stadium.

Vancouver scored 15 minutes in, and BUFC couldn't create an equalizing score during the final 75 minutes.

"Today' match was a great match up of two evently matched defensive squads," Bellingham coach Lance Calloway said in a press release. "While both teams created chances, both squad's defenses were able to snuff out the opportunites. ... We again created our chances early on in the match but failed to crack the net."

Bellingham United has been shut out in its last two matches, and the Hammers' record dropped to 3-2-0 after Sunday's defeat.
