Wants more details on spying story

COURTESY TO THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 17, 2013

The May 14 story, "U.S. spies on AP reporters" neglected to include a vital portion of the story ... the other side. The reason the Justice Department cites for tracking the AP journalists calls was that it was part of a year-long investigation ... an investigation into the disclosure of classified information about a failed al-Qaida plot last year. A good reporter and a good newspaper would include both sides of the story, in more than two paragraphs.
