Ferndale's Johnson, Jungkuntz advance at 3A track meet

Ferndale's Connor Jungkuntz and Vernelle Johnson earned berths to the 3A state track meet after qualifying in their respective events on Wednesday, May 15, at the Class 3A Northwest District preliminaries in Marysville.

Jungkuntz finished third in the pole vault with a mark of 13-00.00, while Johnson finished second in the discus with a throw of 103-03.
