Bells add two more players to 2013 roster

Pitcher Chris Van Dyke from Oakland University and Arizona State University outfielder Johnny Sewald will join the Bellingham Bells this summer.

Van Dyke, a member of Oakland's starting rotation from Denver, Colo., was a four-time letter winner at both Thomas Jefferson High School and Denver Christian High School. As a sophomore, Van Dyke is fourth in innings pitched for the Golden Grizzlies in 2013. He's 4-4 with a 5.56 ERA, making 12 appearances, nine of which were starts.

Sewald, a freshman at Arizona State, is an outfielder from Las Vegas, Nev. A four-year letterman in baseball, and four-time state champion, Sewald was first-team All State in 2011 and 2012, and All-Southern Nevada from 2010 through 2012. Sewald had a .440 batting average as a high school senior.
