THE BELLINGHAM HERALD

On the heels of qualifying for the National Baseball Club Association World Series, the WWU club baseball team is now seeking the help of its community to raise the $10,000 it needs to send the team to Tampa Bay, Fla.

The appearance in the NBCA World Series is only the second in WWU baseball history, and due to limited financial support from the university, the team is calling upon community support to help them raise the money to contend for a national championship trophy. The tournament begins on Friday, May 24, and donations will be taken through the end of the week.

To donate, please contact coach/president John Barney at 206-719-5652, or email him at barneyj@students.wwu.edu. Additional contacts include Dan Siegfried, who can be contacted via email at siegfrd@students.wwu.edu, or phone at 360-319-0401.
