Dan Robbins runs for Bellingham port commission

BELLINGHAM - Businessman Dan Robbins has announced he will seek election to the 1st District Port of Bellingham Commission seat being vacated by Scott Walker.

Robbins describes himself as semi-retired. He is a former president of a number of companies, among them the Children's Company and Cost Cutter Toys, and has been active in the Service Corps of Retired Executives, Northwest Business Club and Bellingham Central Lions Club.

He mounted a mayoral campaign in 1995, but came in second to Mark Asmundson.
