Airporter Shuttle to change Bellingham pickup spot May 21

BELLINGHAM - Airporter Shuttle will move its central Bellingham pickup location from the GuestHouse Inn on Lakeway Drive to the McDonald's restaurant at 112 S. Samish Way.

This change will start with the first Airporter run at 2 a.m. May 21, according to a company news release.

The move will give Bellingham southside residents, as well as Western Washington University students, better access to the Airporter Shuttle, said Rob Takemura of Airporter Shuttle.

No parking is available at McDonald's or surrounding businesses for Airporter customers. Airporter officials are working with a local business with the hopes of providing that service in the future.

McDonald's is open from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. A 24-hour mini mart is nearby if customers need snacks or drinks for their trip.

Meanwhile, Airporter Shuttle's other Bellingham stop, at Bellingham International Airport, remains unchanged.

Airporter Shuttle offers 11 trips a day to Sea-Tac airport. More information is available at
