Paul scores 73 at Lake Padden


Jenn Paul scored 73 points using the Modified Stableford scoring system in a Northwest Conference tournament at Lake Padden Golf Course on Monday, May 6.

Paul led the Red Raiders, who scored 298 points. Brooke Branigan scored 66, and Audrey Orem scored 64.

"We played well for our last match in the NWC and had three girls coming in vying for the league MVP all within five shots," Bellingham coach Brad McKay said in a phone interview. "It was nice to see them battle it out and Jenn really shot the best tournament round she's ever had. It's nice to see that going into the postseason."

Riley Andert scored 56 to lead Squalicum to 221 points, and Laura Wilson scored 56 to lead the Mountaineers to 200 points.

Emily Ming scored 62 points, and Emily Crabtree scored 36 to lead the Lions to 173.

Abbi Rautenberg scored 58 to lead Meridian to 138 points.
