Emily Greathouse and the Blaine girls' golf team won in a Northwest Conference tournament at Loomis Trail Golf Course on Monday, May 6.
Greathouse scored 35 points to lead Blaine to 90 points using the Modified Stableford scoring system. Young Lee added 28, and Lindsey Gillern scored 27.
"We did pretty well to win the match, and the girls have really been playing consistent and getting better each week," Blaine coach Ron Kowalke said in a phone interview. "Emily was very consistent and didn't get into any trouble and kept the ball in play."
Ferndale finished with 87 points and was led by Cienna Semsak, who scored 20 and Nicole Morgan and Monica Mouth, who each scored 19.
Sehome scored 64 and was led by Melanie Henley, who scored 34 and Nooksack Valley scored 54 and was led by Ashley Heinzl, who scored 22.
