Lummi girls advance four to districts


Thelma Wall, Isabella James and Sarah Burke each advanced in two events to the Class 1B Northwest District Championships taking place Friday, May 10.

Wall advanced because she won the 400 in 1 minute, 26.57 seconds and took fourth in the 200 with a time of 35.83 during the Northwest B League Championships Friday, May 3.

James won the 800 in 3:20.04 and took third in the long jump with a mark of 10 feet, 7.75 inches.

Burke took second in the shot put with a mark of 22-10.75 and the discus with a mark of 58-07.

Casey Roberts took fourth in the long jump with a mark of 10-04.
