Medina advances in four events for Blackhawks

Enrique Medina won two events and advanced in two more during the Northwest B League Championships Friday, May 3.

Medina won the 800 with a time of 2 minutes, 12.12 seconds and the 1,600 in 4:51.93. He took second in the 3,200 with a time of 11:11.76 and third in javelin with a mark of 106 feet, 5 inches.

Hank Hoskins took second in the shot put with a mark of 36-10, the discus with a mark of 90-00 and the javelin with a mark of 109-07.

Also qualifying for Lummi to compete in the Northwest 1B District Championships on Friday, May 10, is Richard Edwards (200, 400, triple jump), Jason James (400, high jump, long jump), Richard Jefferson (high jump, long jump, triple jump), Victor Washington (400) and Deion Hoskins (shot put).
