THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 4, 2013

More than 50 restaurants and coffee shops in Whatcom County will donate 20 percent of their proceeds Tuesday, May 7, to help provide meals for the hungry.

Participants in the annual Dine Out for Maple Alley Inn include Avenue Bread, the Black Pearl, Big Fat Fish Company, Dashi Noodle Bar, the Fountain Bistro, India Grill, On Rice's three locations, Rocket Donuts, and The Woods Coffee locations in Bellingham. For a full list, go online to oppco.org.

The money raised goes to Maple Alley Inn, an Opportunity Council program that provides free hot, nutritious meals to anyone who is hungry. Several thousand dollars are raised annually through Dine Out.
