Seahawks too much for Pioneers in boys' track

The Nooksack Valley boys' track and field team won four events in a Northwest Conference dual meet against Anacortes on Thursday, May 2, in Anacortes.

Connor Beard and Luke VandeHoef each won two events for the Pioneers. Beard won the 100 with a time of 11.84 seconds and was part of the winning 4x400 relay team that had a time of 4:13.69. VandeHoef won the high jump with a mark of 6 feet and was also part of the 4x400 team with Aaron Bosscher and Stephen Dietz.

Leni Halaapiapi won the shot put with a mark of 41-02.

The Pioneers begin the postseason Wednesday, May 8.
