Hommes takes four event-wins for Lynden

The Lynden girls' track team won 9 of 18 events on Thursday, May 2, at Blaine High School.

The Lions were particularly dominant in the relays, winning all three. Maddi Hommes, who also won the discus, ran a leg in all three of the relays.

Kat Webb had a strong day for Lynden as well, winning in the 100 while also running in the 4x100 and 4x200. Alexa Shindruk added wins in the 1,600 and 3,200 for another strong showing.

Kieya Villars and Rachael McKinstry both won two events apiece for Blaine, with Villars winning in the 200 and 300 hurdles and McKinstry winning in the 100 hurdles and the pole vault.

Makalee Latta was the lone Ferndale competitor to win multiple events, grabbing top marks in the long jump and triple jump.
