Connor Blok, Cody Velthuizen and Tyler Reardon each won an individual event and were part of the winning 4x400 relay team to lead the Lynden Christian boys' track and field team to five event wins in a Northwest Conference double-dual meet at home Thursday, May 2.
Meridian won seven events in the meet and was led by Connor Aamot, who won the pole vault with a mark of 12 feet, 6 inches and Riley Hawkins-Hecock, who won the 3,200 with a time of 11 minutes, 19.59 seconds.
Blok won the 400 with a time of 54.41, Velthuizen won the 800 in 2:07.11 and Reardon won the 1,600 in 4:49.5. The 4x400 team had a time of 3:38.43 and also included Weston Whitener.
Sedro-Woolley won five events.
Lynden Christian and Meridian will begin the postseason Wednesday, May 8.
