Branigan, Bellingham win at Grandview

Brooke Branigan and the Bellingham girls' golf team won in a Northwest Conference tournament at Grandview Golf Course on Tuesday, April 30.

"It was a good day and we played pretty well," Bellingham coach Brad McKay said in a phone interview. "Everybody shot what they were supposed to and we got a good team score."

Bellingham shot a 293, Lynden shot a 168, Ferndale shot a 123, Meridian shot a 79 and Nooksack Valley shot a 29.

Branigan scored 68 points in Modified Stableford scoring to earn the win.

Audrey Orem shot a 67 and Jenn Paul shot a 65 for the Red Raiders.

Emily Ming shot a 60 to lead Lynden and Abbi Rautenberg shot a 55 to lead the Trojans.
