The Sehome girls' tennis team clinched the Northwest Conference title with its 7-0 win over Anacortes on Tuesday, April 30, in a Northwest Conference match at home.

"We played really well today," Sehome coach Bonna Giller said in a phone interview. "All the kids played well in all of the positions. I rested my first singles and doubles, but everybody played well. I thought the second doubles team played really solid tennis."

Giller said Nicola Morrow and Natalie Knops were able to hit it to open spaces and their communication was the best she had seen all season in the second doubles match. Morrow and Knops won 6-0, 6-1 for Sehome.

Ali Morrow earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles for the Mariners (7-0 NWC, 15-0).

Sehome travels to Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday, May 1, for its final NWC game.
