Tigers too much for Sehome in 2-0 loss

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 30, 2013

The Sehome baseball team fell just short during its 2-0 loss at Burlington-Edison in a Northwest Conference game Monday, April 29.

"Their pitcher is their ace and a senior, and he has a tendency to work fast if you let him and he pitched a dandy," Sehome coach Gary Hatch said in a phone interview. "He was really in command, and we just couldn't hit. That's the bottom line, we didn't hit."

Daniel Goebel led the Mariners (9-3 NWC, 15-5) with two hits, and Tyler Knutsen and Brice Longanecker each had one.

Sehome will play Lake Washington in the first round of the class 2A Northwest District 1/2 tournament Saturday, May 4, in Anacortes.
