Cubs too much in 17-0 loss for Lyncs

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 30, 2013

The Lynden Christian softball team fell 17-0 in five innings in a Northwest Conference game at home Monday, April 29, to Sedro-Woolley.

"As you can tell by the runs by inning they jumped out on us early with six consecutive base hits," Lynden Christian coach Mitch Moorlag said in a phone interview. "They were hitting it all over the place. We did OK in the middle innings, and then in the fifth they hit the ball all over the place and were running around the bases like mad. That's a really good team."

The Lyncs (1-8 NWC, 4-12) were led by Briget Kruck and Kayla Otter, who each went 1 for 2.

The Lyncs travel to Meridian for a double header Thursday, May 2, in a game with playoff seeding implications.
