Sehome falls 4-0 at Burlington

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 30, 2013

The Burlington-Edison soccer team was too much for Sehome in its 4-0 loss Monday, April 29, at Burlington-Edison in a Northwest Conference match.

"Overall I thought it was an even game and that the run of play went to Sehome," Mariners coach John Sylvester said in a phone interview. "But Burlington did the little things right in front of goal and we didn't. Their keeper was spectacular as well."

Max Diehl had four saves for the Mariners (5-7-0 NWC, 7-8-1).

Sehome outshot Burlington-Edison 12-9 in the loss.

"It was a lopsided score but an even game, and I am really proud of the guys," Sylvester said. "They fought the entire time, and it wasn't a fair scoreline. It just didn't go our way."

This was Sehome's final game of the year.
