Coach's quote: "Twins, Taylor and Madison were meant to be partners. They communicate well together, always encourage each other and they can get the other fired-up when needed. They are very coachable kids, and they take advice and constructive criticism in the spirit in which it is meant. They are fun to have on the team." - Bonna Giller

School: Blaine

Sport: Boys' golf

Year: Senior

What he did: Wallen shot a 2-under par 70 to win a Northwest Conference match at Similk Beach Golf Course on Tuesday, April 16, becoming the first NWC golfer to shoot below par this spring. Wallen leads the conference through four matches with a 73.8 scoring average.

Coach's quote: "To shoot a 2-under par at any golf course is a nice job. He played really well. ... He was just hitting his shots well. He was finding the greens in regulation and then made a few of his putts. He was really consistent. He's been fairly consistent all year. He had a stretch where he played par for three straight matches. I know he's been a little frustrated getting on a lot of greens in regulation and singeing the hole. It was nice to see a few putts drop for him." - Steve Barthlow
